Upholstery and Reupholstery
We specialize in all re-upholstery work in Namibia. We also create made-to-order headboards, ottomans, sofas and chairs at competitive prices.
The structure of the item is determined by your preference and space, after which you can choose your fabric at our Swakopmund showroom. We have a wide range of fabrics that include outdoor and indoor upholstery fabrics.
Our upholstery is carried out at separate premises; however, it is fully supervised to ensure that the finished product is of a guaranteed quality. Should any springs or foam need replacing or the frame of your item need repairing, you would be advised of the relevant costings prior to work being carried out.
FAQs
Is it cheaper to have my furniture reupholstered than just buy new?
That depends! If your furniture can be replaced very cheaply then it’s likely that reupholstering it will cost more.
However, if your furniture is of good quality and has many years’ use left in it, then customers often feel it is worthwhile having it professionally reupholstered, rather than sending it to landfill!
Do you do upholstery work for commercial premises, or only domestic?
Yes, we have a lot of experience working on furniture in pubs, clubs, offices, schools, holiday parks, reception areas etc. all around Namibia. Just contact us or pop into our Showroom in Swakopmund, and we’ll be pleased to discuss your requirements.
Do you measure the windows for custom-fit curtains?
Because we are doing delicate work all by hand, this is a lengthy process. Once fabric has arrived, it takes 10-15 working days for your custom reupholstery project.
Can covers of cushions be cleaned?
Depending on the type of fabric – most polyesters can be washed. Natural fabrics such as cotton and linen tend to shrink and should not be washed.
Are there outdoor fabric options?
Yes, we have outdoor fabric options that are UV and mildew resistant as well as water repellent. These materials work well for custom-made outdoor cushions.
